South Kohala Management has been in the business of property management on the Kohala Coast of the Big Island of Hawaii since 1982. The company's mission has been to satisfy the needs of absentee owners who demand a higher level of service when placing their property in a vacation rental program. Over this time we have booked over 200,000 vacation rental nights for our owners. All owners need rental income to pay for their investment but they also need to ensure that their property is well cared for and kept in first class condition. SKM has a staff of more than 20 full time employees including housekeeping and maintenance staff available to meet our high performance standards. Our focus is on the balance between maintenance and care of the property as well as generating solid rental revenue returns. 
 
South Kohala Management is a flexible enough company to be responsive to individual needs yet large enough to have the staff and equipment necessary to do a first class job. We have an efficient and seasoned staff manning two resort offices 7 days a week. A member of our staff is on call after hours 24 hours a day, servicing the owners as well as our guests.  Why trust one of your biggest investments to a company with no on-site staff and a risky "lock box" check-in process. Our owner's have unlimited use of their property for themselves at no additional cost so long as they adhere to proper contract notice periods. We also allow our owners to place certain restrictions on their units, such as "non-smoking" or allowed number of guests.
