First trip to Hawaii for my wife's 60th birthday. Awesome experience. House right on the water. Salt water pool behind the the house was awesome. No need for sound machine since the sound of the waves did that for us naturally. Saw whales jumping out of the water the second morning. House was perfect for our group. ~Steve A. (January 2024)

We spent 10 glorious days at this beautiful property and loved every minute! The views are incredible and sleeping to the sound of the ocean is magical. The house is perfect for a family vacation. There is enough to do without leaving the house! They had everything we needed. We even got engaged on our trip so it will always hold a special place for us. I highly recommend this place. Amazing home on the big island
The home is beautiful and only had a small issue with the AC but the property manager was very reactive in trying to resolve it. The views are as shown and you will love them. ~David J. (June 2023)

You can’t beat the views. You wake up in the morning literally on the ocean. You can see dolphins swimming from the outdoor deck. If you snorkel right in your backyard you can go snorkeling and see tons of colorful fish. We ate home cooked meals almost every morning and every night with the ocean and the setting sun as our backdrop. Pricey but definitely worth it. ~Anastacio D. (August 2022)

Overall I cannot rate this property higher! This was exactly what we were looking for. This home is right on the shore, and we spent HOURS just enjoying the waves in comfort. The queens bath below made for a great place to enjoy some water at home. The house itself is incredibly comfortable, fitting perfectly in that space between "I'm on vacation and want luxury" and "I also want it to be comfortable and easy to relax in." Its also an easy jaunt by car to Kona, and a short walk to two beaches one of which has great snorkeling. Again, this was about as close to perfect as we could have hoped. Up close and personal views of the Pacific the likes of which are hard to find. You can see the ocean fish dancing in the surf right from the deck! The back deck is the place to be to see amazing sunsets sunsets as well. No audio equipment, so bring/plan to purchase a blue-tooth speaker if music is important to you. ~ LJ D. (March 2022)
★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hands down, the best Hawaiian place we have stayed in and we have made in excess of 20 trips.
"This is a private home with all the amenities you would expect when staying in someone’s home. Fully equipped kitchen including wide variety of glassware, cutlery, and the usual built-in and countertop appliances including coffee grinders. This is an ocean front property with a wonderful lanai with a glass railing that makes sitting and enjoying the view actually enjoyable. No more trying to view the view thru a bunch of vertical and horizontal rails. Our stay of six days included four with a mother whale and her infant fairly close in and spinner dolphins almost every day. When you get tired of watching the wildlife, a marvelous hammock under the palm tree beckons. Wifi is fast and reliable. We were running 3-5 phones and other devices much of the time with no issues. Initially the price seemed high but when measured against renting 4 condos, it was almost the same. The deposit also seemed excessive until you see the place. Treat it as you would your own home and there won’t be any issue. The Owner and the South Kohala Management were readily accessible and dealt with questions immediately thru phone or texting.” ~ Larry S. (January 2022)
